Welcome to ‘Suburban Struggle’ Blog
This blog is a platform to release digitally Suburban Struggle: The Campaign to Suppress Punk in Costa Mesa California (1978-1981), first published in February 2016. My plan is to post sections of the zine in chronological order. The larger goal is to make this blog a living work, with the purpose of developing the history of the attack on the Cuckoo’s Nest by the Cost Mesa business community, police, and City bureaucracy.
